Who was your most influential teacher and why?
Ms. Winiarski was the most influential teacher throughout high school for me; having her as a teacher during my sophomore and senior years was incredible. Her ability to always be there to talk about English to me, but also anything else, was very important for me was needed. Women's Literature: A Global Study was one of my English electives I chose and was most excited for. It was worth the wait; talking about all the moods and narratives while reading books by women authors felt needed in this day.
What was your favorite class and why?
Honors Digital Photography & Design was my favorite class in high school. I started my junior year and fit right in, and I plan on continuing it in college. I found taking photos was a passion of mine, and now I bring my camera everywhere. Learning new things in class every day was the best time, and putting my senior panel together was the best.
What was your most memorable experience at Shipley?
Senior Art Panels was my favorite experience. Every art major as a senior has a chance to show their best work at the end of the year. Only getting into photography junior year and having so much to work with to display was amazing.
What does Courage for the Deed; Grace for the Doing mean to you?
Courage for the Deed; Grace for the Doing to me, means you must embrace the courage you own to do so bravely while delicately helping others.
How has Shipley encouraged you to take risks?
Shipley encouraged me to take an endless number of risks while growing up here. From being petrified to speak up and present to smoothly getting through class, being able to talk and ask questions will now help me for the future.

Shipley was all I knew for fourteen years; growing up here meant everything. I am forever grateful for every opportunity given. I will continue my life with all the best memories and friendships that started here.
